On January 21, H.E. Wang Yu, Chinese Ambassador to Somalia, met with H.E. Abdisalam Abdi Ali (Dhaay), Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of Somalia.

He reiterated that China will continue the mutual support with Somalia on issues of core interests and major concerns, so as to continuously deepen the mutual political trust and push ahead the strategic partnership between the two countries.

Foreign Minister Dhaay spoke highly of the ongoing progress in Somalia-China relations and expressed appreciation for China’s consistent support in upholding Somalia’s national sovereignty, unity, and territorial integrity, as well as providing development and humanitarian assistance to Somalia. He said that Somalia is ready to work jointly with China to advance the bilateral relations.
