On the occasion of the 73rd anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China, in order to celebrate the profound friendship between people’s of China and Somalia, and strengthen people-to-people exchanges and interactions, the Chinese Embassy in Somalia will organize the 2nd China-Somalia Friendship Photo Contest. People from all walks of life in Somalia and Chinese businesses in Somalia are welcome to participate and submit photos. The specific information is as follows:
● Submission procedure:
1. Date: 1 July to 15 September, 2022.
2. Photos should focus on China-Somalia cooperation in various fields, China-Somalia people-to-people exchanges and friendship, stories of Somalis in China or Chinese in Somalia.
3. Participants should submit no more than two photos (Taken after 1 January, 2021), with the registration form as attached hereafter.
4. The photo should be clear enough with a size ranging from 1 Megabytes to 10 Megabytes. (Stitching photos are not allowed).
5. The photo should be original (Embezzling or reprinting is not allowed).
6. Keep the original photo for verification (EXIF).
7. No signs such as the website name, links are allowed on the photos.
8. The photo shall not violate the laws and regulations of the People's Republic of China and the Federal Republic of Somalia, and must ensure that it does not infringe the legitimate right and interest of any third party.
9. Participating in the contest implies that you have authorized the Chinese embassy complimentary use of the photo for publicity, exhibition, online shows for official purpose, etc.
● Registration
Competitors should send the photos and registration forms (accompanied by the name of the photo) to somchnbro@gmail.com within the designated date. The subject of the email is "name of competitor + title of the photo".
● Prizes
Top two winners will win a cash prize of 200 USD each, and cash prizes will total more than 1,600 USD for all the prize winners.
In addition, based on the registrations of participants, other outstanding photos will also be rewarded appropriately.
