According to relevant arrangements, starting from today, valid APEC business travel card holders and international students holding valid study residence permits do not need to apply for a new visa to China and could enter China with the above documents.

For international students studying in China, only those in long-term academic education programmes are eligible to apply for X1 visa. Required materials are as follows:

For students admitted in 2022, ①Visa Application for Study in China (Form JW 201 or JW 202) and ②admission letter.

For students admitted in 2020 and 2021, ①Visa Application for Study in China (Form JW 201 or JW 202), ②admission letter and ③documents certifying the university's approval of the student's return.

For students admitted in 2019 and earlier, ①documents certifying the university's approval of the student's return and ②previous X1 visa or valid study residence permit.
